The throne of Isis is a familiar place to me, yet different every time. In the stillness and silence, I approached this ancient Goddess ritual site with awe and reverence and with the steadfastness of an ancient goddess myself. Something had changed in me. I knew where I was going and what I was doing there. The surprises were on a different level. After spending some time in the chair beyond the trickling spring, I knew I was going higher into the forest to see the Trembling Rock. When I was finally able to locate it in previous years, I had taken a lower trail after several tries and had to climb up to it. Today, I made a beeline for it directly, aided by someone who had written under the misleading sign that definitely keeps a lot of people away by sending them in another direction with another name “Trembling Rock” and an arrow. Arriving directly was powerful, and the ease gave me access to other surrounding stones. This area was obviously an initiation site with stone formations and circles. I connected with a number of stones in a deep way. Some greeted me and shared themselves. It was a joyous encounter, followed by a further stroll around the area, and a gentle return to the road.
