So much charm is overwhelming! I am charmed over the top! Enough already, no never enough of the charm of this French country side so bring it on forever. This amazing area is located outside of Limoux, a place which can become commonplace in spite of the Blanquette, and past the Abbey at St.Hilaire, a well known landmark where many people stop due to the original creation of champagne here called blanquette because champagne can only be called that if it comes from the Champagne region.The abbey boasts origianl Romanesque art and sepulchre by Cabestany.
The roads take you into forests on winding roads, and past the most delightful towns with their churches and ancient stone bridges. A park near the town of Greffier led to the Lauquet river with its flowing, clear streams filled with fish and birds all around. The signs explained flora and fauna, but the underlying truth was the magic of the devic kingdoms and the interdimensional vortex. Stones piled upon each other formed shelters for shepherds and also created bee hives. Some of these stones, especially from a structure behind the main shelters, spoke to me and greeted me. I was blown away by the stone’s love for me and gratitude for my visit. It was mutual. I was the only person in the park on this hot June day, and a very blessed person to be in all this magic and beauty.
